Block of the Month
The Block of the Month program is intended to encourage members to try new techniques in piecing, applique, and to use colors other than their normal and/or safe choices. For further information about BOM, please contact the Block of the Month Chairman at any meeting.
What is a quilting bee? It is a group of women who meet to promote fellowship involving quilting on various personal, group and/or charity projects. These groups typically share common quilting goals and can form close bonds in support for each other. Groups may form by geographical area, quilting interest or topic such as: paper piecing, applique, traditional or art quilting. Each group decides how many members to maintain, how often and where they meet, and what focus, or purpose guides their individual group.

Every year one or more guild members make a quilt to be raffled off at the Holiday Party in November. The quilt is displayed during the year and tickets are sold at local quilt shops, quilt shows, and other venues. In addition, we encourage each of our members to pick up and either purchase, or sell a packet of tickets which are available at each monthly guild meeting. The cost is $1 each, or 6 tickets for $5. The proceeds from this raffle are used to fund our outstanding programs by bringing in nationally acclaimed speakers and teachers.
Rock Ledge Ranch Silent Auction and Boutique
This activity is held annually in September during the Holly Berry House Folk Art Festival in Colorado Springs. Guild members make and provide quilts for silent auction to the public, as well as items to sell in the boutique. This is a major source of income to offset the cost of future programs. Members are encouraged to support both the auction and boutique through their handiwork, and helping with the actual event.
A donation form is needed for each donated item. They are available at guild meetings, or may be seen and printed out by clicking on the button below.
